Vodacom Top-Five Superstars announced

MASERU-Vodacom Lesotho announced the five names of five artists who have made it to the final round of the Vodacom Superstar at the occasion held at the local hotel in Maseru yesterday. The overall winner in an event that will be held at Manthabiseng Convention Centre on Friday the 22nd when they perform will win M100,000 and will also get M50, 000 worth of album recording deal. In the second place, the winner will go home with M60, 000 cash and in the third place the winner will get M30, 000. The winner in the fourth and fifth places will get M10, 000 each. The last 15 finalists will get M2, 000 each and Vodacom hampers.The last five who will be competing for position one are Khahliso Mphephoka at position one followed by Palesa Motlomelo at position two, Molibeli “Stlofa” Mokake at position three, Nalete at position four and Thabang Ramakhula at fifth position. The Top-Five artists were elected from 20 winners who won from the auditions that were held in all ten districts of Lesotho in May this year. The SMS line was closed on Sunday 17th July 2011 at midnight. The Managing Director of Vodacom Lesotho Malik Melamu was there to wish them well and said he was amazed with the talent Basotho have. The Vodacom Superstar competition focused on different music genres: Famo, Gospel, Hip-Hip, Kwaito and R&B. Vodacom announced that the public could not miss out on this incredible opportunity to out-shine thousands of hopefuls to become the very first Vodacom Superstars. The competition was opened to all Basotho of all ages and contestants entered as individuals or as a group.If Khahliso wins this competition, it will be his fifth five music award that he wins and he promised to work hard to win this one too.Vodacom invited all the last 20 artists to come to the function on Friday since those who were voted most in the media houses will be awarded by Vodacom on behalf of those media houses.
