MASERU - The Finance Principal Secretary, Mosito Khethisa, is in police custody and is expected to appear in court today in connection with a M6.5 million fraud charges. The spokesperson of the Lesotho Mounted Police Services senior inspector Lebona Mohloboli confirmed that Khethisa is detained at police headquarters to help with investigations. Mohloboli said police made a plea to Khethisa that he should report to the police on Sunday to help them with allegations that connect him with fraud. Read more...

Metropolitan Lesotho is a subsidiary of Metropolitan Holdings Group. Its main business activities are concentrated on Individual Life Insurance as well as Employee Benefits (EB) for Corporate Clients. Metropolitan Lesotho is looking for a dynamic and people centric individual to fill its vacant position of Human Resources Specialist – People Development who will report directly to the Human Resources Manager.

 The Key Performance Areas for this position:

J  Conduct a comprehensive training needs analysis for both sales and indoor staff;J  Draw and develop a comprehensive annual company-training plan and budget and a long-term capacity building plan;

J  Organise and conduct training workshops and courses relating to Selling Skills, Product Knowledge, Financial Needs Analysis, Financial Planning, and any other training related to exposed needs and where necessary outsource training vendors; J  Design and put in place a monitoring and evaluation tool for the assessment of the impact of training interventions;

J  Liaise across divisions to ensure the transfer of learning and those corrective measures are put in place where necessary;

J  Implement and enforce HR strategies, policies and procedures

J  Coordinate and administer the performance management system. 

 Minimum qualifications and experience                                                              

ü  Degree in Human Resources Management or HR Development                                              ü  Five years experience in Training & Development related field                                               ü  Experience in Marketing would be an added advantage.
